Hi every one newbie here. I was just wondering if any of you guys recognized my chairs. I recently acquired them and I am planning on restoring them to original condition but I cannot find any info them. I originally thought they might be tram seats, Ive been in contact with the tram museum in Matlock and they think they are early railway carriage seats not tram.

The back rest flips over the top so the seat faces the opposite direction, They would have originally been upholstered, I would love to know if they would have been leather or fabric. I have found traces of what I believe is the original colours, very dark red with yellow pinstripes to the edges.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Reversible yes, but not like this, the pivot is near the floor so you get a different side to the back rather than flipping over and the seat tilts as well.

Had the bench ends sandblasted today and there are the initials LSR stamped on 2 of the back supports. Any ideas?
