I agree, can't have too many lner steamers!

 

Money being banded around for the Ryde would be far better sent in this ships direction - she is a ship not a pile of scrap!!!

We have been aware of this for about two months now.

A very difficult proposition at a very difficult time!

She's behind a swing bridge that hasn't for years

That lies beyond a road bridge with low air draft that never did

So - to get her out you have to gas axe various large and important bits first

Then you have to have somewhere to put her - then you have to have somewhere to put her back together again first

Not for the faint hearted this one - any maritime Jeremy Hoskins out there???

 

I agree with your comments, such a shame there's the bridges to complicate matters. Perhaps someone will come forward - after all we saw a Paddle Steamer feature in Steam Railway this month!
