    Hi,

I've just started putting my photos on Fotopic. I have thousands of negatives and slides dating back to the 1960s and have just started digitising them. So far I've uploaded photos from the mid sixties to 1973. I will continue digitising them but it will be a long process.

The very early photos are not of a very high standard due to me then being very young and inexperienced but also due to using poor photographic equipment. I have posted them in case anyone may find them interesting.

I have always lived in Plymouth so most of my photos were taken in the south west although, as you will see, I travelled quite a lot. So far I have included photos from Scotland and the North East.

Comments always welcome. My Fotopic site is

It's quite possible my Tyseley photos were pre 1965. Some other photos taken on the day at Tyseley were of Hall 4967 (withdrawn 1963) and pannier 3779 (withdrawn 1963). Also 9Fs 92135 and 92071. At Saltley the same day I saw 8F 48701. I am working from some very old notes and I was very young at the time. So.... if anyone can provide further information on these it would be very welcome.

What a superb collection of photos! Thank you so much for sharing them!

The first picture in the Barry collection is of particular interest to me, as it features 34058...with "wanted for 34027" painted on the cylinders!!! I'm very relieved that Taw Valley's owners didn't get hold of them, although it would have probably meant a speedier return to traffic after her recent withdrawl due to a cracked cylinder!

Would it be possible for us to use your photo on our website (with credit of course)? At present we only have one picture of 34058 at Barry.

I'm sure the 34007 "Wadebridge" group will love the photos of her at Barry and en-route to the Plym Valley on Mike Lawrence's low-loader.

It's the quality of these pictures that really stands out; they're so bright and clear!

    ...but this one is backwards!

I've just shown my Dad your site, seems he's going to be very busy looking at the 1970s Diesels shots (He has a thing for Blue pre TOPS). Some fantastic stuff on there.

Thanks you for your feedback. It's good to know that it's worthwhile putting them up for show.

James - yes happy for you to use a photo on your website, please confirm the photo number. If you e-mail me I'll send you a better copy. What website is it? Also good spot on the reversed photo, I'll change it.

    Thanks
