Looks like a great event with a huge line-up from the local loco fleet. Timetables up on the website :)

How come only the locals are calling at Burrs and Summerseat, timetabling issues?

Looking forward to this, even though I'm predominantly a 'steam man.' Will ride and phot for both days...two EE Type 4's (40's) out and about...worth the price alone :)

Happy to Alan, wherever the 40's or D1501 (if it runs) are, you are likely to bump into me! I'll probably park up at Summerseat early on and ride the trains to everywhere else.

Hope it's more spring-like next weekend. Bloomin perishing here in Cleveleys today!

Flippin' perishin' 'ere too John. Just froze my (never mind) off standing on Castleton station waiting to phot a Euston to Burnley Footex with a class 67. Rare to see a loco hauled passenger train in these 'ere woods! Re-opening the Todmorden curve has been a good move with a bit of extra traffic, and the Riley 5s came back from the Fort that way on New Years Eve. Saved a reversal at Castleton.

Anyone from the ELR diesel bods looking in on this thread? If so, did the repairs to D1501 take place so she is a runner this weekend?

40135 has been sidelined tomorrow with an electrical fault. May work Sunday if fixed in time.

Yes, that was sad, but it didn't stop me from enjoying my day. Parked up early at Irwell Vale, took a ride later on to Bury, spent a few quid at the CFPS stand then stopped off at Rammy on my way back to IV. Nice relaxing day with some interesting people lineside :) Couple of shots here, rest will be up on my smugmug site after tomorrows efforts!

Trains seemed busy and mostly on or around 'time,'...at least until I left around 15.00. Great effort all round...thanks ELR.

40135 won't be fixed for the Sunday services either :( These things happen I guess, am sure they tried their best.

My video from yesterday with scenes from Burrs, Heap Bridge and Irwell Vale. A good show by the East Lancs as usual

Another nice day out to the ELR which wasn't spoiled in the least with some loco failures and timetable issues. Was good to combine photting and riding! Weather was rather gloomy, unlike the ELR volunteers who made sure everyone who attended had a great day. Thanks to everyone involved :)

A couple from today and the rest on my smugmug site! IMG_0150.jpg

I must say the new halt at burrs really does blend in well, it's hard to imagine a time when it wasn't there.
