Just a few lines to introduce WATTRAIN to members of the forum.
As you will see from the website, http://www.wattrain.vintagecarriagestrust.org/ , this is intended to be an internet based organisation which aims to introduce international railway members to each other and discuss each other's problems. It is a fact that, whilst each contrie's regulatory structure may be different, the heritage railways in each country have very similar problems and WATTRAIN has been set up to investigate ways and means of mutually supporting each other. Already, we have seen a number of autralian colleagues coming across to UK to see how we poms operate our trains, whilst some luck folks have travelled to other parts of the world on similar missions. If anyone is intersted in joning the new organisation either as indivisuals or societies, details are on the temporary website.
