Royal couple name new steam [locomotive]

The first mainline steam engine to be built in Britain for nearly 50 years has been officially named by the Prince of Wales.
The Peppercorn class A1 Pacific steam locomotive has been named Tornado at York railway station.

For those that can't use the link just go to the a1 home page http://www.a1steam.com and click on "Naming Ceremony"

I have tried the above advice a number of times with no success. Looking on home page under latest News, I cannot find the heading "Naming Ceremony", the last item is "Tornado to do a Star Turn at Museum."

would seem like a faul with your pc or internet connection.

That link goes straight to the naming page for me with updates are irregular intervals.

Perhaps clearing your cache might help?

Fantastic sight this morning, looked superb with the headboard on :)
In all the times i've ever being to Colton Junction have i ever seen that amount of people, the amounts were just untrue. We even had quite a few BTP there, that was a first for me too. Then the helicopter came and kept hovering over and it moved on the approach of the engine but someone else decided to come with a helicopter i'm assuming for filming due to it staying to just after the engine had left ](*,) However that noise wasn't picked up in the video. We then raced around to Halton near Cross Gates for when she returned even there, it was rather busy.

My footage is now online with the usual HD option.

Well done Simon, at least you got some exhaust, it cruised past Burton Salmon as if there was a terrorist alert!

Had to laugh at the driver of the diesel at the back though, he was giving a royal wave as he passed us. :-D

As Tornado has pulled a Royal train, will she be entitled to display a crown like Duchess of Sutherland has? If so where would be the best place to show it as Toranado's nameplate already has a badge?

I think a round of applause should be given to York Railway Station for their organisation this morning, complete with comemorative platform tickets =D> Then drove like a bat out of hell to Woodlesford and got there just in time to get a video with the crest showing

For once thank goodness it's half term - PTK

Add Leeds to that round of applause. Well done to the staff. Visual security was very sparse and the one BTP officer patrolling was a decent guy. Everybody seemed to enjoy Tornado's brief 15 min. stop =D>

Thanks for the comments guys! Although now watching it back several times neither clip came out as it was suppose to #-o, a think a little more work on the clips before i use them again on the dvd i think :p.

Hahaha Stuart, you don't actually see it in the video at Colton but he did literally just shut off as the engine comes into shot on the online clip, most annoying.

Thanks for the advice, simon & swiss tony, logged off, went out for an hour, the link now goes straight to the naming page, pictures worth the wait. Strange as I could get steamingyorkshire's superb video no problem.
