Certainly sounded good as it made it's way down the Limpley Stoke valley!

Took on the climb to Churston like it wasn't even there! Wonderful performance.

The locomotive certainly looks magnificent; not sure who does the polishing but they made a good job of it. :)

Lots of people - with copious supplies of elbow grease! Some of them will be part of today's support crew; others just members who turn up at Stewarts Lane to 'muck in'. As our working Party Co-ordinator is fond of saying "remember it's just a hobby"!
Gratifying that the effort is recognised - thank you.

Lovely to see her sporting the red nameplates today. Nice to get up close with her at Churston, albeit briefly.

RTT has a better than even time from Taunton to East Somerset Jn. Anyone on board got the speeds into Somerton Tunnel, through Bruton and the min over Brewham?

Following a few weeks without any mainline steam and not very pleasant weather the chance to get out for the day to see 35028 on the todays Torbay Express was not to be missed.

    35028a.jpg
Making use of the vantage point provided by the Cycle and walking bridge over the railway line, 'Clan Line' is seen passing the Powderham Estate on the outward trip.

    35028b.JPG

At the end of the day, 'Clan Line' leans into the curve having passed Langstone Rock at Dawlish Warren on the return trip.

Yes, it seems some former Southern Region locos can cope exceedingly well with Goodrington Bank! :D

Back in Bristol right time according to RTT, very impressive. I'm still trying to work out why, after dropping numerous coins of the realm in the collecting tin back in 67 it took me 48 years to actually become a member!
