    A Thingy...
It would certainly make a bit of financial sense, seeing as WCR need to get the locomotives/stock up/down to Fort William. The handy thing is that the diesel hauling the tour north would be used to take the WCR empty stock to Carnforth. It also means that the owners of the steam locos get some money from a usually non-profit making positioning move, whilst the SRPS get a higher profile and profits for the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway and for future operations. As one of the stewards told me on the return, it could be a win-win situation for all concerned, but he also said that no official thought had been given to this possibility, so we'll have to wait and see. I will certainly be looking to use the SRPS again; a very professional outfit, excellent coaching stock, friendly stewards, and they seem to have a very good working relationship with WCR. A one-off steam tour from Perth (or dare I hope Stirling?) to Aviemore in the fashion of last year (which I completely overlooked) would certainly get my booking... in fact anything in Scotland would be a bonus as its my favourite part of Britain after chasing Bulleids down south!
