I'm not sure if there's already a thread on this, so if there is, my apologies and mods, please move this post to its correct home.

Not a very fashionable route, and the views aren't as sexy as most others, but 44932's visit today was as rare as hen's teeth. Bebside viaduct over the River Blyth gives a good view, but the noise from the adjacent dual carriageway was just about unbearable and although I did a short video clip for record purposes, it's not worth the bother of editing because of the racket.

Today also happened to be the 56th Anniversary of another special visitor to the B&T, when 45562 Alberta (the real one) hauled a special to Ashington colliery, just a few miles up the route from today's shots, on 10th June 1967 in similar glorious weather.

Nice. You had the sun with you. I chanced the view from the Spine Road to get up to eye level. When I made that choice a couple of days ago, the forecast was for cloud, brightening later. For the first time this week, the cloud chose not to turn up. - deafening traffic.

We had to shout in each-other's ears to have a converation. I saw a couple of people down on the grassy area where you were, but I thought maybe the low angle and bushes and stuff would work against it. I was very wrong. :)

I was in the same spot 7 years ago tomorrow, 11 June 2016, in very different weather. Wet and cold.

If you like the roar of road traffic, this one's for you. The noise of the A189 road just behind us was deafening!

Two tasty photos Henry. Good choices. A rare event.

I went down for the double-headed 'Castles' - also a very rare event. Got rather wet in the evening!

    Cheers
