A couple of shots of Scots Guardsman passing through Elstree & Borehamwood on the Robin Hood.

I was going to join the gallery at the South end of the platform, but as the sun was more or less down the barrel of the lens, I decided against it, and went to the North end instead which produced some interesting results. :)

No I do not currently volunteer
A nice shot and good angle as she enters the station. Not so sure about the colour rendition though. Very contrasty...to me that is.

Thanks Al, glad you like the shot, sometimes zoom can be your friend! :)

As for the rendition.............. there's a whole host of factors at play here........ which "may" explain it! (and before posting all this, I've had another go at processing it in several different ways and the result is the same....)

Namely, the sun, which was low and slowly breaking through the cloud cover was more or less straight down the barrel of the lens - hence my decision to leave the "gallery" and go to the North end of the station - also at this point the loco was cruising, so with the exhaust hanging in the air and the sun shining on/through it you end up with that result!
