Yes I am an active volunteer
It certainly would, but I'm sure the fitters at 10A will have it sorted quickly.

How would tipping the passengers off at Preston make any significant difference to the timings? According to RTT http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U62504/2018/08/21/advanced the first major difference from booked times was leaving out a half hour stop at Barton Loop, so it reached Lancaster 44 early. Then according to http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U62505/2018/08/21/advanced another three-quarters of an hour was somehow saved shunting around Carnforth.

Nice talking with you - and a well described account of 45699 reaching the top. Video from there, Long Preston, Pleasington and Barton can be seen below:

Good to meet another member of NP and a picture or video is worth many thousands of words. You did well to get to Pleasington, I got stopped at almost every traffic light and as I stepped onto the platform at Cherry Tree the rails were ringing and literally 1 second later 45699 shot through heading in your direction.

It was very tight! As I arrived at the bridge she was in view so it was a case of plonking the tripod down and just trying the going away shot.
