Thought it was time for a thread on this given the first guest has been revealed - 90733 from the KWVR. Sounds good to me!

Agreed, a very good start and let's hope there's plenty to celebrate with for the 50th anniversary (of the formation of the society) next year.

Excellent. I missed the only previous time that it's come south (GCR several years ago).

Oh that's a pretty superb starting point. A spectacular-looking engine that I've yet to see in action. Will book accommodation and a Friday ticket pretty swiftly.

I like it. I wasn't expecting that. I don't suppose 92214 will still be there. Will it?

Nope. 92214 leaves us pretty quickly in the new year. I think she is only with us for 6 -7 weeks.

I tell you what. I had a great day on the SVR 2 Saturdays ago. It might have been the best photographic weather I've ever seen and with 6 engines in steam and a DMU out it was like a gala. The 9F didn't half look good.

I'm afraid I'm not very savvy with technology. I don't know how I'd get my photos on here. I met you behind 1450 in the October gala last year. She was doing the full 25mph down Eardington bank, I seem to remember!

Ahh that was you! Did enjoy that, mind you dont think I've had a bad day at the SVR. I do have a thing for 14xx tank. They do look a bit old but blow me they can't half shift. Don't worry about it Macko's pics have shown me what I love about my favorite 16 miles of non NR track! :)

The latest SVR news says that 34027 is hoped to be returned to service february/march so with a fair wind it should be in availability for the spring gala. On twitter, SVR Engineering reports that 34027's bolier passed its hydraulic insurance exam today.

There's another engine for next year's S&D bash.
