Not breaking news to us, but here is the BBC's (short) take on the SVR appeal

An appeal fund has been launched to help pay for repairs to part of the Severn Valley Railway, which was damaged in last week's storms.

Heavy rain caused flash-flooding chaos in several areas across England last Tuesday.
The track, from Bridgnorth in Shropshire to Kidderminster in Worcestershire, was damaged in 45 places and there were nine landslips.
Repairs are expected to cost £500,000 and should be completed by the autumn.
