Can anyone provide details of Jubilees 45718/28/29/31 arriving for storage at St Rollox MPD prior to scrapping at Cowlairs and were these locos stored elsewhere in the Glasgow area in late August 1963?

    Sadly,

The What Happened to Steam books should be taken with an extremely large pinch of salt, - http://www.whatreallyhappenedtosteam.co.uk/index.htm

I don't disagree with you about the W.H to S. books, that is why I double checked the dates and places in various RCTS Railway Observers

The RCTS received a lot of their information (and subsequently published in the ROs) which had been 'concocted' by a chap under the pseudonym of 'Zulu', the same chap who gave the fictitious information to Peter Hands...

Alternatively, while thare are a few discrepencies, most of the information in the series is as accurate as, say, the Engine History Cards. These Dealt in Period (four weeks) Ending, while some other sources dealt in actual dates, so there are often legitimate differences by up to about a month, as well as the misinformation provided by Zulu.
