I think a new version has been added.

    Anyway, D1048 arrived this evening.

I’m finding it rather interesting about 1o48’s involvement, I’m guessing there’s going to be some sort of announcement regarding its future shortly?
Possibly regarding either one of the Hydraulic groups based at the SVR;)
Maybe something similar to what happened with a certain Class 50? Nudge nudge wink wink… ;)

Did always seem to be a little out of place at Swanick.

All I've seen semi-officially is that during Lady's stay a number of working members on the SVR will assist the owners with carrying out some checks and preventative maintenance to prevent deterioration of key parts whilst its restoration continues. I've seen chat too about a recent change of ownership and more. As the WLA and DTG are still working through D1013 and D7029 I'm not sure whether they could 'do a Glorious'?

That’s fair enough Patrick, it is just idle speculation on my part, but as I say I find it rather interesting that it’s being moved from its most recent home to somewhere with experience with Class 52’s… possibly I’m playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order ;):)

IMG_7914.jpeg IMG_7887.jpeg IMG_7924.jpeg A quick spin out this evening with ‘the holy trinity’ for hydraulic fans, 1062, 7076 and 832 did the honours for us.
    Really nice to be home.

as the driver approached the tunnel after leaving Bewdley station towards Kiddy he slowed right down to walking pace then just as we crawled into the tunnel he opened it up full belt, the hanging veg were having kittens!! At the windows

Its a cracking gala even if you don’t particularly ‘do’ diesels. Loads of movements, some storming performances and if you avoid the obviously popular locos and times you can almost guarantee a seat especially towards the rear of a service. Recommended and still another day to go :)

Absolutely brilliant day at the Diesel Bash yesterday. Once again, the 'Valley put on a spectacular show highlighting historic diesel traction. Thank you so much for the time and effort everyone at the railway puts in to provide such an event. It really is appreciated. Spent most of the day at Bewdley as I just love the atmosphere there and just working through some of the photos I took.
Special mention and thanks for the excellent breakfast from Bewdley buffet; awesome!!
