    They seem to have gone for the ready rusted Angel of the North look and to be fair I think it came in £1.2 million under budget.

    Part of the scheme is a new footpath direct from the station Scarborough bays car park to the footbridge which saves a few minutes walk, mainly crossing Leeman Road.

    A few lucky patches of sunshine today, LMS 5xP No.45699 'Galatea' passing Towthorpe at lunchtime and at Kirkham Priory on the return (the sun had just cleared, thankfully!)

    There has been such access for a number of years. I haven't used the new bridge yet, so it may have been modified as part of this scheme.
