Presuming that there is a requirement for a Guard on the Train, is he/she 'supplied' by the TOC also.. ?

Is the grapevine suggesting MN18 will do the SSE season and pick up the Waverley turns too perhaps?

I hope not as I was rather hoping to find it on the CME on 23rd June. It would make sense to use a class 8 rather than a class 6

35018 I understand is scheduled to cover the SSEs and will only be used on S&C duties if the loading requires 7/8 P motive power.

Presumably there is hope too that 6201 will soon be available to cover Shap turns?

    Or 6233 for that matter.

I don't believe there is much happening on that front at the moment.

Well it would make sense if 6115 or 6233 are in the frame, for MN18 to go to York but otherwise it seems a peculiar allocation policy. Funnily enough I'd heard the opposite, that 6201 would be ready for testing quite soon and 6115 would be 2019!
Not heard much about 6233 other than it would have to be based in the south because the northern jobs were allocated elsewhere. It would be equally odd to find Shap jobs in the hands of 5Xs if 8Ps were notionally available, would it not?

Yes it would and surely the normal 11 coaches requires class 7/8 power though 5Xs have coped. Not good though to have to work them so hard
