Super shot that..
So no mention of any on the stock there.
Good to see a Black 5 out on what was once familiar territory for it. 44871, still with its 65J Fort William shedplate, passing Old Linslade with today's RTC trip to Chester. Shame about the weather!
The Black 5 seen shortly after leaving Northampton this morning
You are correct - it occurred that day and it was just the engine and the support coach.
The crew this morning knew where the whistle was! 2 shots of this mornings Cheshireman run, and Clan Line on her Belmond duties:
Todays Cheshireman with Black 5 No.44871 seen racing north on the down fast at Stafford, then the evenings return rolling through platform 4
does anyone know the timings of the Sussex Christmas belle due to run this week, i believe its the same as last year, steam to Eastbourne, Diesel to Hastings, then Steam leading to London via Tunbridge wells.
And then it went T Up.
Duchess through Barnes Bridge this morning:
Accelerating up towards Sapperton Tunnel this morning. Hope you enjoy it
I have already got the tee shirt for that one. Very bad luck though.
The Gloucester Christmas Market and Cardiff filmed at Stainswick Lane, Shrivenham:
Passing Wokingham - 23/11/2021
Like @mrKnowwun I had problems today.
Went to Chalford for a second shot but the Duchess suddenly appeared round the corner without any warning. Forgot to turn the mike on and messed up the zoom.
Managed to rescue a screen grab:
Here's my footage of the gorgeous Red Duchess no. 6233 Duchess of Sutherland powering away from Swindon and Gloucester on her way to Cardiff. I filmed her at Purton and Churcham. I hope you enjoy the video.
My efforts from Purton today with 6233. Nice to see the forecasters got it correct again
