I believe there are about 20 as yet unfinished restorations of Ex Barry locomotives. Two that are near to steaming are 45491 and 4150. 7027 Thornbury Castle is having a lot of work done with a completion date around 2023.
Meanwhile 34010 Sidmouth and 35025 Brocklebank Line are making progress at Sellinge and Herston.
    What about the other survivors?

4110 should steam before the end of 2022. It arrived at East Somerset Railway February 2020 and a start was made straight away.

Here's the wiki page on it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...dham_Brothers_scrapyard#Preserved_locomotives

If you click to arrange the locos in the table by status, that should give the answer. I'm not sure the distinction between "Unrestored" and "Under restoration" is always correct (4110 for exmaple as mentioned above is being restored), but between the two categories that accounts for everything I think, "Under overhaul" is a seperate category which seems to encompass everything from Barry that has steamed in preservation previously. Quite a lot more than 20 by the looks of things.

I've been keeping a sort of database of my own as to the statuses of the remaining unrestored ex-Barry locos, and in answer to your question, it stands as follows:

    Stored awaiting restoration

    2873, 3845, 5668 (though preliminary work has started on this), 5952, 7229, 30830, 34058, 34073, 35010, 35022, 42859 (what's left of it at least), 44901 (ditto), 80100, 80150, 92219

Uncertain (appear to be in a state of limbo between active restoration and stalled restoration)

    3862, 4121, 6634

    Conserved for display only

    4248, 5227 (to be further dismantled for new-builds), 35029, 92245

There's no thread for ex-GWR 'Small Prairie' locomotive 5538 so I've posted this here, as that was where previous posts about this loco are. It is being overhauled on behalf of its owner at a third party site, to which there's no public access. A representative has posted an update on another forum:
