Have picked this up from the internet. It appears that Rail Restorations North East have gone bust. How does this affect the projects based there?
As I remember there was the G5 replica and also an Irish engine there as well as a boiler from Weardale.
    Anyone know any more?

It appears that any work with no money left in the job is being sent back. New work is being taken in under Multi-tal Haulage according to one member commenting on another thread yesterday. There are comments on the G5 and No171 threads. It looks like the Weardale Railway have been really stitched up by the RRNE management. In terms of the Irish loco I have seen a couple of photos of a substantially incomplete project.

Apparently the boiler from No40 based at the Weardale Railway was over a year late. They had many broken promises regarding completion and now need to source funds and a new contractor to complete the work. There appears to be a lack of knowledge, project management and financial planning around projects. Liquidation of RRNE/ Multi-tal coupled with incomplete project being sent away is evidence enough. I cannot believe morally they just setup again in light of all the monies owed to businesses and indeed charities for failure to complete contracts.

Two more entries in The Gazette that were posted on the 4th of March:—

    Appointment of Liquidators: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2296428
    Resolutions for Winding-up: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2296307

    From the latter:
& a bit more on their status at the end of July 2014 here and here.

    Doesn't bode well IMO.

    Update...

According to CompanyCheck on March 13th the both the Registered Office and Trading addresses were changed to:—

Bulman House, Regent Centre, Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE3 3LS

Which is the same address given in the Gazette notices for Tait Walker LLP - the appointed liquidators.
