Fantastic stuff, brings back memories of the real RAC Rallies in the 70's when I did press photography on the event every year.
    Met Roger Clark many times.

I had one that did that. Once. Into a tree near Bath. The bumper is still embedded in the tree!

On the theme of rallies, I know its veering off thread but can anyone throw any light on the chap remembered on this plaque. It is located on a road (D749)bridge over the river Loire adjacent to the nuclear power station at Chinon, France. I spotted it when I used to take my lunch-break down by the river a few years ago, as you do, but after much local and cyber enquiries and searching have come up with absolute zilcho. I am sure it is an English guy, but who?????? DSC00015 (480x640).jpg Sir Romneys Rally Le Mans 2008
