NYMR PW Wagon fleet update

The repair and repaint to the NYMR Shark DB993894 has now been completed with the return of the vehicle to traffic. It worked its first trip on Monday night on a ballast train to Goathland.

GW MACAW DW 103310 Should follow suit in the near future after rebuild of removed end plate when used as crane runner previously, repair work, reflooring and repaint.

Grampus wagon DB 991840 is currently undergoing steelwork repairs prior to shotblast and repaint then a refloor.

 

Most interesting to see, Ploughman. It's great to see it back in service. I am half-owner of sister DB993898, at the Severn Valley, bought with the advice and assistance of one Gerald Carter, no doubt well-known to you. It is a constant struggle to stay on top of it, even with the valued assistance of the Bewdley Carriage & Wagon Dept. We have been trying to get the new stove pipe completed for over a year, getting it to arrive and stay still long enough at Bewdley is the problem.

Incidentally, do you know where I can obtain a new grate for the BR stove? The current one is a lash-up from drilled boiler plate.
