In a recent email from Geoff's Trains he says,

NRZ want to get a Class 20A 4-8-2+2-8-4 Garratt running again! Initial investigations support the practicality of doing this and I have NRZ Management authority to advise you of this. There are a few bridges to cross as we work together to move this project forward, one of the first being justification. This locomotive weighs in at 228 ton, much too heavy to work as a shunt loco over the unballasted 60 lb rail in yards. This fact, and the relative unreliability of the 20th Class, is why the last two Class 20A Garratts were withdrawn following our Zimfest 2001 tour. Getting one running again for next May is possible if the Railway can persuade their management and accountants that the project is viable - the only way to do that is to receive enough bookings to confirm our tour, but that confirmation must happen soon to give their workshops adequate time. Please spread the word!

Now that will be something to see and hear...
