I've visited the NRM York twice in the past few weeks and have noticed the 1909 North Eastern Railway steam crane parked along the side of the station hall, not on public view but apparently in a staff car park judging by the cars parked up against it. I remember that it used to be parked in the open area outside the Main Hall before you go underground to reach the entrance/station hall. Does anyone know what the plans are for it, ie will be it back on public display anytime soon?
