Don't think there is a specific reason, just hopeful thinking. There is also a stronger LSL link with 92212's overhaul being finished at Ropley.

Well LSL have supported the railway in the past with 60019, 34046, 46100, 70000 all visiting plus 6960, 4270 and 92212 from the non-mainline fleet.

    Now how about 61306?

Here’s my photo of 45231 with 45379. Two LMS class fives together make a fine sight storming up the bank to Medstead.

Website updated to add Lambton Tank No.29 to the visitors:
"It’s with great pleasure that we can announce ‘Lambton’ Tank no. 29, will be running at this event, courtesy of the Lambton Trust and North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Built in 1904 by Kitson of Leeds, Works Number 4263, for Lambton Collieries, No. 29 was the first 0-6-2T to be employed on that system. She was overhauled at Philadelphia in 1968, by which time the ‘main line’ running over British Rail tracks had ceased, so No.29 was made redundant on 15 February, 1969. With 65 years in service she must be a one of the longest-working steam locomotives in the UK."

Excellent, I was annoyed I couldn't make the SVR gala to see her so pleased she's coming down to the promised land

If my memory serves me right, it was in action the last time I visited the KESR, which I think was around 2006 (?). I certainly remember travelling behind it there.

Still deciding whether to attend the EOR Gala or this one to see Leander, maybe the Lambton might swing it in the MHR's favour

I'd forgotten that 45231 had paid a recent visit - I remember it had an extended stay on the Mid Hants sometime in the 2000s long before Mr Hosking acquired it. It worked some Steam Dreams trips at that time as well - I remember doing Waterloo to Sherborne.

Timetables now pulled from the website. Presumably as it was not meant for publication

Whoops! I did wonder why it appeared up on the website as it clearly says on the front page of the WTT "PRIVATE and not for publication".

The Severn Valley gala working timetables always say that and yet they happily sell them to anyone who wants them!

Anyway the WTT still seems to be there if you click on the link above.
