IIRC Tornado is maybe better placed than most tender engines for a spot of tender-first mileage as certain gauges are replicated on the tender front eg brake pressure etc?

    Re: Mega Move (60009/60163/60007)

60007 will no longer be moving from Grosmont-York NRM tommorow due to a fracture in the steam pipe to the atomiser but should still make it to Barrow Hill by Friday. 60009 will still be running from Thornton to York NRM tomorow but not sure as yet if she will make the move to Barrow Hill by her self Tuesday or wait for 60007 to come from Grosmont.

    Cheers jamieP

After the 4MT and Black 5 with the Tin Bath on sunday, then 2 A4s and the A1, the good people of Sheffield are going to think that the railways have gone back to steam traction. :)

5 steamers in a week is a total rarely seen even in York and Carnforth.

I was at work looking on my phone at UKsteam for Sir Nigel tomorrow, and noticed it was today 4:00 out of York, I knew I could make it down to the footbridge, and I did with 1o minutes to spare as I'm walking up the street I hear light steam, and run up to see it passing 10 mins early!

A4's 60007 and 60009 on a light engine movement from Barrow Hill back to York on the 6th April seen passing Colton Junction, bang on time :)

Fantastic sight! Just lacked a little bit of sun, never mind!

The website server is still down :swear: therefore this is on the temporary server too, therefore the banners etc... probably won't work.
