    • The gala will feature passenger and freight trains running on the double-track heritage line - 70013, Oliver Cromwell will be starring alongside 9F, 92214 wearing new unlined, weathered livery
    • Alongside these giants, we are welcoming two first time visitors: NYMR’s Lambton tank No.29 and SDR’s GW Pannier tank L92 in London Transport red livery
    • Completing the motive power line-up from the GCR home fleet: LMS 8F No. 48624, LMS 3F ‘Jinty’ No. 47406, BR Standard 2 No. 78019, GNR N2 No.1744, SR’s King Arthur Class, ‘Sir Lamiel’ No. 777
    • TPO (80301) will be on display & open to the public at Swithland and TPO (80345) will be in a passenger set and open to the public.

Who's going to this? Looks like an impressive line up!

I'll be there on the Friday, and Thursday before it starts to apply some weathering to the 9F.

L.92 departed Buckfastleigh this afternoon after loading ready to take part in the gala which will not only be its first visit to the GC but also first visit away from home base in London Transpirt livery. Looking forward to coming up to see her perform on Britain's only preserved doubletrack mainline!
We hope you enjoy her. Like most 57xx panniers she packs a punch..

The 9F looks great weathered. I understand she is going into lined green livery (like 92220) after this event.

A set of photos from Saturday are now online on my Zenfolio website here: - http://mickrogers.zenfolio.com/p311293119 As others have said, it was especially good to see the 9F in a weathered condition. EOS 5D Mark III1857_DxO.jpg
An excellent day, so my thanks to all who had a hand in the event.
    Cheers,

I thought she was being named as a combination of Great Central and Evening Star, so she could be attached to The Cromwell Pullmans...

    'A Great Evening'

I always thought there was something poetic about Evening Star being the only named and green 9F.

I agree. If it was mine, I'd keep it looking like a 9F should look!!
