I've had an e-mail from Crowdfunder saying that the fund-raising target hasn't been reached, but I see it has been 'saved' anyway.

It’s not that the target wasn’t met, it was over 2/3 of the way there with 20 days to go, but the plug was pulled as the railbus has gone to a different bidder.

Apparently to Nemesis at Burton on Trent, but under whose ownership and for what purpose I haven't heard. I'm only repeating what has been said on one of the FB groups.

Thanks - seems an interesting place to go to - but if its future is assured - good!

Latest GCR e-newsletter says that the Railbus has now moved to its new location at Burton. It also mentions clearance work underway at the north end of the shed site to enable Contractor access to the Canal Bridge site.

I wonder if anyone ensured that they got all the materials, original interior fittings and new glass and steel that were stored in a shed and a van body nearby? In addition, I have bits of the railbus at my home but despite the offer, no one has contacted me.
