    BP has taken the first official step towards allowing the eventual link-up of Swanage Railway to the Wareham mainline.

    The petrol company has applied to the council to make sweeping changes at Furzebrook Terminal, which once shipped millions of gallons of oil out of Wytch Farm by rail.
