It can now be confirmed that we WILL be holding the Steam Gala on the above date and it will feature BR Standard 2 78019 from the Great Central Railway and slightly nearer the time we hope to announce another visitor...

    More details will appear soon!

    We'll see!

There may be a return to traffic for one of our locos if work keeps on the way it is...

...and maybe some behind-the-scenes tours if we can get some things organised and people to guide...

Great news, in the diary =D>

    Enjoyed last year with Morayshire.

Are Darfield and Monckton the only two locos that are currently available for traffic at Embsay?

    Cheers

We've also got our Thomas (not that we're planning to run it in the gala...) and theoretically the Sentinel, although I think it needs a safety valve overhaul as it sticks open and hasn't been used in a while.

Under overhaul and vying to be first completed are:
    Beatrice
    Annie
    Illingworth
    22
    Primrose

    (Warspite formerly Sir Robert Peel)
    (Revenge formerly Spitfire)

Nice one. 78019 will certainly fit the bill. Opportunity for a charter perhaps?

To my knowledge, Russ Hillier is going to be doing a couple of charters...

We've also got a 'good' goods train lining up with more 'new' wagons... and quite a bit of work to prepare for it!
