    It should probably go in 'Heritage railways and centres in the UK' but I'm sure the mods won't mind it being here for the meantime!

    There are already two groups associated with this line;

    Heritage operation

    Commuter operation

    As a first step you should maybe get in touch with one of these groups?

    'AdamPhillip' - in your profile you state your occupation as 'Student'

    I have to ask - are you actually in a position to fund any restoration of the line? If you are just trying to make sure the line is saved then maybe joining one of the existing groups would be best, rather than starting another new group.
