    The Mid-Norfolk Railway is hosting a special weekend on September 8th & 9th to mark the fiftieth anniversary of closure of the Dereham to Kings Lynn line. Events include:

    COACH TOURS TO VISIT THE FORMER ROUTE OF THE LYNN & DEREHAM RAILWAY -
    £30 per person - to book, please call 01362 851723 or visit the Dereham Ticket Office. The price includes coach tour and rail travel between Dereham and Wymondham Abbey before and/or after the coach tour and a special souvenir guide. The coach departs outside Dereham Railway Station at 1000 and returns by 1530.

    DIESEL & STEAM SERVICES OPERATING BETWEEN DEREHAM AND WYMONDHAM ABBEY -
    An extra early morning connecting service from Wymondham Abbey to Dereham to join the coach tour which departs Dereham at 0820 and Wymondham Abbey at 0905. Full timetable and fares information will be available nearer the date of the event.

    - Explaining the history and operation of the line from opening in 1848 to closure in 1968.
