    Just in case anyone else has been trying to book for 30 Oct and found it saying fully booked, some more seats seem to have been released in the last day or two and bookings have reopened.

    Tried to book for the 30 Oct and showing no seats available, rang this morning and it is now full - I managed to grab the last seat, whew!

    Delays south of Lancaster caused by 'rail defect' some earlier trains cancelled.

    Carnforth, don't know why it was going that way, I thought they all went via Hellifield.
    Problem was/is broken rail at Oubeck.

    only 25 mins late departing york though....


    well the loco usually goes via wennington and settle jcn to hellifield but surely it was the ECS that went via preston ....???

    8F on way to Hellifield , departed Carnforth 08.55 via wennington and settle junction.
