Excellent evening featuring both Class 14 D9551 from the Severn Valley Railway and Hunslet "Holly Bank No.3" on the National Wagon Preservation Group MGR rake

Had a superb day here last Saturday despite the damp. Great fun watching all the shunting and to-ing and fro-ing. With so many locos and sets in such a small space, there was always something going on. Cafe was very good too, a little slow at peak times but I guess it's not often they have an event like this on.

We were all stunned that we were only charged £9 though! If there's anyone from there reading here - next time you do something on that sort of scale whack the prices up! Both a mate and I made a point of overpaying for some bits in the museum sales as frankly we felt guilty paying so little for entry.

The Neilson looked super, particularly on the cracking little PO coal train. Very much worth the drive and standing in a rainy field!
