That's 3 out of 4 cancelled this year. 26th June was lack of bookings. TBEL do not state reason for these two.

What's the chances of 28th August run being cancelled as well?

I was just about to book for the 12th! A real shame there is now no Bristol to London train in December. Always a nice way to do a Xmas shop!

Perhaps it is the cost of these trips and the fact that the whole train was turned last year have put enthusiasts off?

I agree - and how can they justify a table-for-two charge of £25 per person?

Bristol - London 28th August (TBEL). Standard class £85.00, First class £125.00.

Bristol - Weymouth 29th August (RYTC). Standard class £48.00, First class £74.00.

Guess which one is selling more seats.

£85 does seem on the steep side for what is compared to some, a very straightforward itinery, a double header or somewhere out the way like Cornwall you could understand but a Bristol - London is one of the easier jobs out there.

Perhaps it's because, unlike the one in April it's not a real Bristolian - just a pretend one.

At the risk of being a harbinger of doom and gloom, I wonder how long TBEL can keep this up? It has kept itself confined to two itineraries, and has probably suffered from the fact that a lot of people may have 'been there, done that', and are up for something new (I've done the Torbay twice, admittedly when Past Time were doing it; I now see no reason to do another one, particularly at £85, and I think I have done the Bristol-Plymouth route to death in the last couple of years). Maybe its time for TBEL to start branching out and offering more choice?
