I booked my accommodations back in December, before i had even been able to book the time of work or flights. Having never been to Llangollen and only having the internet to go by, it strikes me as a typical small town, enough accommodations normally, but when an event occurs, the demand far outstrips the supply. Hopefully everyone who wants to attend can find somewhere to stay.

I am looking forward to my few days there for SSS2, it should be a fantastic event from the looks of things.

It is a small town, but yet it is very popular with tourists, eisteddfod visitors in June, canoeists, hikers aswell as railway enthusiasts, so most of the hotels and b&b's do get booked up pretty quickly...

But there are plenty of campsites nearby. And Wrexham is only 10 miles away...

The name would be handy as when I search campsites in Langollen, or anywhere for that matter on the works PC it blocks it as being "offensive"? I am hoping to be there from 18th to the 20th.

    Thanks, Neil.

It is based on 6 people sharing so that would mean about £44 a night

    Or

that would be £37 a night per person for all nine days from the 17th to the 27th

And you can come and go as you please with your nine day rover ticket

Not a bad way to spend the week

Thanks for the offer Tracky, but I will have the missus, kids and dog in tow and possibly another family ;-)

I have just rang Carrog site and they have said just turn up on the day and pay if we have a family tent, they always have space. I think that the caravan/motorhome pitches get full or electric hookup sites.

See some of you on weekend of 18/19th,
