I feel partially responsible for that and will offer up my apologies for that!

Mind, I also thought I was on the Blue Peter thread on the Bittern thread so...!

I told you LNER class designations made no sense :)

That's not so bad, no livery debate on that thread at present....... just one that seems to be heading towards discussing every class of loco going and appears to have not only drifted away from 60019 but doesn't appear to have even mentioned A4's for quite a few posts.......

So it is! Like Simon a little earlier I had lost track of which of these parallel threads I was in, with so much cross-contamination between threads that are both about LNER Pacifics now in the Hosking empire and on the journey back to main line operation.

    Right... In the correct thread.

I'm sitting looking at a photo of E531 Bahram taken in the summer of 1948, in lined LNER Green but with BRITISH RAILWAYS on the tender. Could this have also applied to its sister engine?

All of the A2s received the apple green livery of the LNER but some were delivered under British Railways auspices, thus had British Railways numbering and branding. Blue Peter was one of those delivered with a single chimney, apple green livery, as 60532 and with British Railways branding.

Always check photographs and cross reference against RCTS/Yeadons/any official sources.

But when I looked on the internet I found this… so it must be right… 714D8417-E0C8-4D80-9B90-DC43E3950BA8.jpeg Even though it comes from a website saying fictitious livery’s it can’t be wrong!

Video shared on Locomotive Services Group Facebook show that the boiler has been reunited with the frames today.

Looks like they have done a nice job of tucking the air brake pump inside the smoke deflector.

Nudging ahead of Tornado... Running in at the Severn Valley this Autumn maybe ?
Black wheels suggest that apple green is not on the Menu...

So when's the LNER Pacific gala going to be next year, followed by the LSL grand tour with guest locos 60103, and 60163 and their own operated 60007 and newly overhauled 60532 from Kings cross to Scotland going up the west coast, and returning along the east coast. :)

As long as a 'King' is the pilot loco, to make sure the loading gauge fits the LNER pacifics...

Do LSL operate 60103 and 60163, otherwise I suspect 'never', sadly I suspect the chance for any co-operation between LSL and WCR has rather drifted out of the window after LSL have spent the last month bitching about WCR to any media outlet prepared to listen and print it.

Perhaps a tour with a third party ( Like the GB) hiring both locos is your only chance...

Alternatively a tour going north with 60103, and 60163, with a tour south south with 60532 and 60007 might work....

Even better at the same time, and they cross...
