6989 Wightwick Hall

I wonder if 6989 is planned to stay at Battlefield for Santa season and if so an excellent choice for GCR Jan gala 6989,6990,78018,78019?
GCR may share attendee income but also transport costs .

 

Not consecutively numbered but also both ‘305s to add that extra spice.

 

No im not saying that im tight fisted its just hard going for anyone who has to get to shackerstone or shenton by bus or rail or by pedal bike and back course i take interest and put a bit of money in the railways funding projects such as the tank engine richard III on that line thats why i contribute at various railways round our country and see what engines and projects are been worked on but to volunteer for a heritage line theasedays you need local accomodation in the area the railway is based i live in cleckheaton my nearest line is the K.V.W.R. and even to work up there you have to have overnight sleeping in their local hostlerys

Pitchford hall by any chance could it be afterall its at the G.C.R. and ive heard it may be visiting some other heritage railways before going back to the epping ongar railway

Wightwick Hall looked, and sounded so good, on the last day of the Battlefield Line autumn gala, the work on the insulation / cladding in the cab, was a work of art on its own, let alone the rest of it !.

Very large amount of respect to all involved.

So glad I cycled up from Coventry (around 10th time this year), I think getting to Shenton by public transport, would involve a long walk if possible at all, and I hate Buzzis, wish I had the cash to go on the train !, but they made some money out of me, as the coffee at shenton is excellent.

 

Does anyone know if the Hall is running this weekend please?
