Is the White Rose not booked for 44871? That’s what the RTC website states.

44871 is booked to work the RTC tour from King's X to York and back as far as Peterborough.

The S&C Santa special 1613 departure will be diesel (with steam on the rear) as the train reverses at Gascoigne Wood.

As it seems the White Rose will be as well. Looks like Steam Dreams won the race for the turntable!

Well, parallel running doesn't happen very often but this gives ample opportunity running to Colton Junction at the same time as well, should make for some interesting videos and photos. :)

From my experience York is one of those places on a steam tour where however long you have it never seems long enough to service the loco.
Be interesting to see how 3 at once cope.

think only 1 loco going to NRM for servicing, as Flying Scotsman could be being prepared for Sunday

Well, 34046 and 44871 are due to stand side-by-side at King's X for 7 minutes in the morning. I think an early morning alarm call may be in order!

Correct, a friend of mine who’s works for NR charter planning has said 45231 is replacing 34046, as the latter is out of gauge for London Kings Cross
Was also mentioned Bahamas was initally booked for the RTC job to keep up with the 75mph schedule but alas that too is out of gauge

Are we talking about physical or paper work constraints here? Not having the current gaugeing paper work in place does not necessarily mean that the loco is out of gauge as such, but the result is the same - prohibition:(.

To read exact message sent to me “Braunton is too fat to get to Kings Cross at the moment!”
Whether that clears up any exact locations/routes I’m not the knowledgable one!

Should be noted the ECS move from Crewe-Southall the day before is timetabled to steam at 60mph with water stops so that clears one thing up

It certainly fitted in 2014, though the throat has been remodelled significantly since.

I really do wonder where these 'facts' come from. My money is on it having nothing to do with the ECML or KGX.
