2016 January - Loco Working Weekend

    Update from 9/10 January


    It was No 4 Edward Thomas' turn to be stripped down this weekend. A smaller gang than usual undertook the tasks of removing boiler plugs, ashpan and firebars, decoking the chimney and giving the engine a good clean. The brake cross shaft had to be removed before the ashpan could be detached. This component has been degreased and cleaned, ready to fit back on in a few weeks.
