[MEDIA] My small selection from last week's epic tour. Filmed at Bourton, on Rattery & Hemerdon banks, finishing at Newton St Loe. I hope you enjoy it :) Well done to all involved in the tour, in spite of all the trials and tribulations!

  6. JBTEvans liked Southernman99's post in the thread 6880 Betton Grange.

What I fail to understand from the 6880 groups point of view is commiting to these railways before it had even turned a wheel in anger, let alone revenue earning service. I understand the want to create enthusiasm/ demand to see the loco at...

  9. JBTEvans liked John Petley's post in the thread Bahamas.

RTC still has Bahamas advertised for a number of summer trains. Some clash with visit to Peak Rail, so major website updating is urgently required. Mind you, I'm not holding my breath for those trains booked for 45596 haulage prior to its visit....

  10. JBTEvans liked Fred Kerr's post in the thread Bahamas.

Given the costs and risks that apply to main line running it's probably less risky to find work on heritage lines where the attraction of a rare locomotive to the site being visited can attract a greater number of visitors; Win win for both...
