    Neil 172/224 looks like Bournemouth to me from the station roof and the coaling crane . 180/224 running in board looks like New Milton 214& 216/224 possibly could be Vaggs Lane Bridge Sway/New Milton area from the tight bridge, but not sure.

    Interestingly, as a bird-watcher, the only SE Owl I have ever seen was from a train, on the ECML in Northumberland!

    That's good to hear Bryan. My father would take me to watch numerous steam trains blasting out of Chilcompton tunnel. Happy days indeed. I'll never forget the final Pines Express hauled by 92220 Evening Star. [BJ]
