    The L&B cannot perform a transport function viably. It will need more parking if it expands to accommodate the presumably bigger visitor numbers.

    Depends what you mean by park and ride though. In the purely functional sense, as in, competing with a bus service or whatever, absolutely, it's a non-starter. But plenty of railways do still transport people to somewhere they want to go that...
