It is pity it could not be rerouted to Canterbury East and turn the loco at Sittingbourne ( assuming the problem is between Sole Street and Swanley). Not sure where you would stable the stock, but RTC did some trips a few years ago to Canterbury and Faversham which dropped off at one Canterbury Station and picked up at the other.

Minster Triangle is indeed part of the possession.
I understand it was considered turning the loco at Minster, by temporarily cutting back the possession limits. But it is Minster South Jn which is being relayed. By 1300 Saturday there will be a large hole with no track with new base stone in place ready for the new pointwork. Before anyone says the work could be moved, it was planned and agreed with train operators about 18 months ago.......

    Cheers, Neil

Like a drowned rat at cheam this am.
    Half the town turned up.
Today's one for the normals, not much high speed running for this trip

5 mins late, but on time by Sutton.
47237 gave a bit of a shove from the rear probably help recover the time.

Not only is it locked, it seems to have totally disappeared!
The mods must be bored today, defeats the object of the forum. I give up.

Merged the 3 different threads into 1 of this trip,
Apologies I was out this afternoon, drowning like a rat a bit more, but in the name of "domestic service".

I checked out Denbies. Fantastic location for a panning shot, but only in the winter when there is no foliage, and I figured it would get very crowded - Looks like I was right. I figured there would be loads of shots from the fantastic Box Hill and West Humble station as well. Not seem any from there!

My plan was to head to Boxhill & Westhumble station but stop off on the way at Denbies to see how it looked as I reckoned I would have 15 mins or so spare on the run from Warnham. That was the case but with Warnham being so packed I reckoned Box Hill would be the same so settled for Denbies! Think you can get a view down from the hills behind, certainly you can see the Guildford-Redhill line but I didn't have time to check it out before hand!

Very Nice shot, given the murk and drizzle.

Who put those ruddy portaloos there? they weren't there last week.

I was with the masses on the other side of the tracks.
