If they're on there then they're confirmed timings. They don't appear on RTT until they're in TRUST which means they've been validated and accepted.

This is a staff and supporters charity tour so won't be open to the public. Not sure if there's a fill in move with the set between Swanage and Norden during the layover.

Although,as has been discussed on another thread, there are often cases of times for steam railtours appearing on RTT quite early, which are then later amended after negotiation between the TOC,NR and the promoter....

No fill in moves during the layover; it will arrive into Swanage Platform 2 and stable there until departure.

What's changed that allows this set to work right through, whereas the FGW set stopped at Corfe? Track realignment, or something different on the units?

Isn't there some difference with the dampers/shock absorbers on the bogies? Some have extra/larger ones.

The FGW gauge measuring was done to broad gauge....whilst the EMT was done to standard gauge....

Oh No. Please Don, don't go there. It's a slippery slope that can only end with you standing by the window in the front coach of a diesel railtour listening to the ............

Just think back to what should be running down the line through Southampton to Bournemouth, Swanage and Weymouth.

Two photos from me today - racing through Shawford at line speed with 43064 leading. Very close to being bowled by the up fast service to London!

Is that South West Trains branding on 43064? Nice touch.

The Swanage end PC + first three carriages had South West Trains vinyls instead of the EMT branding. The rest retained EMT branding.

You know I have a high regard for HSTs, the train which transformed the fortunes of BR many years ago.

Also it was a very rare working and I am getting tired of foting 44932 even if it has been renumbered 34932 (?)

I have an equally high regard for '43s. The things make an appropriate amount of noise, and have thundered up and down our main lines at triple digit speeds for 40 odd years. They are without doubt a classic. Had i know one was wearing a SWT dress, I would have easily swapped my two steam vids for that one.
