Just wondering why they have spent all this time and money on a signaling system and station run round loopat Boughton crossing but have no trains to send there. Many years ago I put money in to get the bridge repaired so that they could run further towards Boughton crossing.Must be a reason I suppose, but can't think for the love of it why. 2. For those of us who don't know the N&LR, please can you explain this a bit more? Why do they have 'no trains to send there'?

You obviously know the railway but, having never had chance to visit it myself, I'm just interested as to what the railway is like and what the situation / problem / beef is to prompt your post?

I have no beef as you say with the railway but as a previous member and what the direction we were going in then was I find it suprising that trains still only run south to the bridge in question which is just past Pitsford sidings signal box and on the other side of the bridge is a well constructed heritage railway site which looks the best thing on the railway.I believe the bridge only needed a waterproofing membrane and a bit of pointing as it also acts as a cycle and public footpath.Apart from that their website does not contain any infomation relevant to future progress.

The railway has had problems with theft, vandalism as well as the need to attend to the running line which I'm sure has delayed things

Last year the track on to Boughton needed ballast and I guess that is still the case. When I visited a couple of weeks back the class 47 was running. I hope the railway gets over the setbacks it has suffered.
