A pity that Clan Line is not in the mix and I also hope that we have a light load with Tangmere - Honiton etc. It's good that Bulleids are featuring though.

Amedments to future trips ( from the back of the booklet from yesterdays trip and also website with and checking UK Steam).

21/6 Both trips White Cliffs circular wih option to travel out on first, take a break a break in Canterbury and return on the second one.

    21/8 Kingswear/Dartmouth now 16/9

29/5 Now starts from Rugby rather than Northampton.

    17/6 Cancelled ?

3/8 Oxford and Coventry to Carlisle via S & C

28/8 Euston and Milton Keynes to Carlisle

The Chester and Ludlow trips in late November have swapped dates.

A few had changed or been added before I think, so I have mentioned so that David Uk Steam can update.

On the subject of Tangmere, wasn't it suggested elsewhere on the forum, (I can't remember in which thread), that some anonymous "expert" had suggested 34067 wouldn't be back on the main line any time soon, owing to interested parties wanting to take their time correcting whatever lead to "the incident" we have all chewed over at length previously on here ?

Let's assume that SD has been told by WCR that Tangmere will be back in action by September. Why infer anything different?

Note Oxford and Coventry to Carlisle via S & C should be 3/7 rather than 3/8.

Is this one really going to Barnstaple on the way, as per the SD website?

I will check the leaflet this evening, but from memory it had limited information (Brief outline and prices).

The Brochures have always stated that it would go to Barnstable.

It is a pity that Clan Line doesn't do tours w/ WCRC

She does, but because of VSOE trips, maintenance work and availability of support crew means she doesn't do it very often.

The reason Clan Line is no longer appearing on this tour has nothing whatsoever to do with WCRC

So what is the reason, it was mentioned that she was now out of gauge west of Yeovil? Please share

Was speaking to a friend of mine some time ago... And said whilst speaking to someone at Southall Wcr, Tangmere is all assembled again - awaiting tests. Hopefully will be back by the end of the month...

If Tangmere is unavailable, any idea of possible alternative motive power? (please God not a box!)

Don't these trips routinely carry a DL to provide power for the train and everything else associated with what is then quite a heavy load?

Probably 44932. I believe it is timed for 60mph max, with a diesel at the rear.

    If not, maybe Braunton.

Definitely NOT Braunton ! Also to avoid any confusion, the 26 April Canterbury train is a Statesman trip not Steam Dreams.
