With the reported problems with 45699 & 46115, it will be interesting to see what the motive power will be for the steam section of the Welsh Borders excursion. Thoughts...

Having not run since August, I would imagine that WCRC would be sending her out on test this week to ensure no gremlins!

At least fire-throwing shouldn't be a problem at present!

Some people on Facebook have been mentioning that it could be the 8F for this Saturday's trip.

Just put a quick question out on here. Anyone know of any good photo spots between Chester & Wrexham?

Thanks for that. I do know where that location is as I believe the number 1 bus from Chester to Wrexham goes near it.

Thanks for the link for the map Ralph. :)

46115 not on the WCME? I thought JS said earlier today that Galatea was going to be on this train.

The gloom persists as Galatea rushes over the border between Wales and England whilst crossing Chirk Viaduct.

Galatea back on form today, in my opinion. Video to follow of 45699 climbing Battlefield in stunning afternoon sunlight.

Nice shots, loco looking good, load13, no blowing taps, I'd say she looks in good fettle, credit where credits due, well done WCRC.
