The first 3 are SECR P Classes not LBSCR Terriers. Shots 1 & 2 are of 27 (BR No. 31027) 'Primrose' now undergoing overhaul. Third shot is of P Class No. 323 (BR No. 31323) 'Bluebell'. She returned to service in 2011 and still operational. Fourth shot is the North London Tank currently on static display, her BR number is 58850. The 5th shot is the North London tank again with Dukedog No. 9017 'Earl of Berkeley' behind.

7/8 is one of the L&YR Barton 0-4-4 locos converted to stationary steam heat boilers. As it appears to be ready to move, I would suggest that the photo is at Horwich Works?

The middle drivers were removed as part of the conversion to a carriage heating unit, I believe they were towed to location like that.

The NCB 0-4-0ST is a bit of a puzzle as it bears two numbers - No1 painted and '32' on a plate. It's obviously an Andrew Barclay and the one that fits the bill is AB1659 of 1920 latterly on the Bowes Railway, Durham working from Starrs Loco shed Wrekenton. Is this a post preservation photo - that might reflect the pre-1967 area designation? Now at Tanfield I think.
