I would think at this stage we have to assume they at NNR know what they have bought and the requirements for the business to be able to continue.

Foolish move otherwise to splash the cash without consideration. I can't imagine that being done really.

 

I was not being vindictive about the CS yard at Detling, more the general state of the industrial estate.

You've obviously never been to either the Medway towns or Folkestone.

Norfolk folk never were knuckle draggers, they just leaned on gates with a bit of straw stuck in their mouths and went "arr" a lot.

 

Do they still serve mashed swede at school dinners ?

 

That particularly nasty concoction was not limited to Norfolk believe me.

 

Nothing wrong with mashed swede. Just add some butter and black pepper to the mix and mash it properly, not half-heartedly.

 

Wrong. The only way to serve mashed swede (aka neep) is with mashed tatties and haggis.

(And before any of the southern shandy drinkers go "eeeew, haggis", don't knock what you've never tried. There's a hell of a lot worse goes into sausages and burgers)

 

Wrong, the only way to serve it is to open a bottle of wine, drink the wine and put the swede in the food recycling bin.

 

Reported conversation some years ago in a rural independent Co-op in deepest North Yorkshire:

Customer: "Have you any turnips?"
Assistant: "No"
Customer: "Swedes then?"
Assistant: "We don't stock anything fancy like that"

Haggis is nice and not all us southerners are shandy drinkers I'll have you know. A lot of us never touch the stuff. Now run along and toss your caber.

 

Here is another soft southerner who likes haggis. Haggis tatties and neeps washed down with a nice glass of malt. Haggis is not limited to Scotland. In Northumberland I had deep fried batterd haggis and chips - lovely it was. Londoners eat savaloys - a spicy sausage - now you really dont want to know the contents.
